Visiting and parking at The Glass Works could not be any easier. The brand-new multi-storey car park offers visitors the most accessible and convenient place to park when visiting The Glass Works and the wider town centre.
The Glass Works car park has 475 standard bays, 20 parent and child bays, 28 free disabled bays available to Blue Badge holders, and 6EV charging bays, there is more than enough room for everyone’s needs. The car park is open 24 hours, even when the stores are shut!
The car park pedestrian entrance is ideally located in the heart of The Glass Works shopping mall for easy access to your favourite shops, the toilets, and baby changing facilities.
How much does it cost to park at The Glass Works?
Monday – Friday
7am to 5pm
- £1 per hour
- £5 maximum for up to 24 hours
5pm to 7am
- FREE
Saturday & Sunday
7am to 5pm
- £1 for your first 3 hours
- £1 per hour after the initial 3 hours
- £5 maximum for up to 24 hours
5pm to 7am

Blue Badge Holders
To claim your free parking with your Blue Badge, drive to the exit barrier as normal, contact the security control room via the intercom on the ticket machine, quote your blue badge number and the barriers will be lifted.
Getting to The Glass Works
By Car – Parking at The Glass Works could not be easier. The multi-storey can be found on Lambra Road, just off the Alhambra roundabout. With easy access from the motorway, Doncaster Road, and other major highways. For Satnav users, follow S70 1SF to the customer car park. Get directions here.
By bus – The Barnsley Interchange is just a short, two-minute stroll from The Glass Works, where convenient buses and coaches offer brilliant public transport links across Barnsley, the rest of South Yorkshire, and beyond. Get directions here.
By train – The Glass Works is ideally located near Barnsley’s fantastically connected train station. With regular services to Sheffield, Huddersfield, Leeds, Nottingham and more, as well as links to several outlying villages such as Darton, Wombwell, Elsecar, Chapeltown and Dodworth, the train is a great alternative to driving when coming to The Glass Works. Cineworld customers are entitled to 5 hours of free parking! Simply ask a member of Cineworld staff behind the counter to validate your parking ticket and you can park for completely free for the duration of the latest blockbuster.
