BARNSLEY MARKET’S HANDARAN BAKERY WINS BEST BAKERY IN SOUTH YORKSHIRE AWARD

Handaran Bakery, a thriving business based in Barnsley Market has been voted the best bakery in South Yorkshire in the England Business Awards. The bakery received the highest votes in the best bakery category and was awarded a special plaque by the organisers at an awards ceremony in July. Winners of the Yorkshire Awards can go on to represent their area at the national Grand Final later this year.

Handaran bakery is a family-owned business based in Barnsley Market, serving traditional bakes and breads alongside cakes, pastries, and pies, made with high-quality ingredients and traditional recipes all made freshly on site.

Loghman Ghasemi, owner of Handaran bakery, said: “We are overjoyed and honoured to receive this award. It is a recognition of our hard work and passion for baking. We are grateful to our fantastic customers, who have supported us and voted for us. We are also thankful to Barnsley Market, who have been so supportive of our business since joining the Market earlier this year.”

Barnsley Market is one of the largest and most popular markets in Yorkshire, attracting thousands of visitors every week from across the region. The Market offers a wide range of products and services, from fresh produce and meat, to clothing and accessories, to gifts and crafts.
