Sports Direct – including streetwear and fashion arm USC – signed up to The Glass Works in October 2019, alongside Coffee Boy, a modern coffee shop selling specialist coffee and food.
Coffee Boy will open on Cheapside before Christmas, while Sports Direct is set to open in 2021.
Sports Direct, which will move from its current location on Cheapside into a bigger store in The Glass Works, will be set over two floors. The popular sportswear shop will also bring its fashion arm USC – which specialises in men’s and women’s fashion from big names like Converse, Champion, Levis, Calvin Klein and Diesel.
Coffee Boy – a modern take on the traditional coffee shop – sells specialist coffee, teas, cold drinks, breakfasts, paninis, pizza and a range of cakes and ice cream.
Cllr Tim Cheetham, Cabinet Spokesperson for Place, said: “We’re delighted that Sports Direct will open in The Glass Works alongside Coffee Boy.
“It’s an exciting time in our town centre as we head towards the busy Christmas shopping period.”
