Three new additions to Market Kitchen, a key feature of The Glass Works, officially opened to the public on Saturday 26 October — bringing a new dining experience and exciting flavours to Barnsley town centre.
Housed upstairs in Barnsley Market – already home to three traditional market cafes, Dolly’s Desserts and Daddy Beanz Coffee – the venue has welcomed Rajah (Indian cuisine), Khao Niew (Thai) and Jar Bar (Balkan).
Market Kitchen is now also home to Cucina Sky Lounge, a bar serving a range of beverages – including cocktails, gins, lagers and craft beer.
The independent food court is set to continue adding to its offer, with vegan outlet Incredible Volk, wood-fired pizza company Breeze Bros Wood and rotisserie duck eatery Quack all set to open in November.
The venue has installed comfy seats, sofas and booths, mixed with low and high seating as well as new tables. Free Wi-Fi and charging plugs will also be on offer, making Market Kitchen ideal for eating, drinking, socialising and working.
The space will be open until 7pm Monday-Thursday, until 10pm on a Friday and Saturday as well as opening on a Sunday between 11am-5pm.
