BARNSLEY GARDEN PARTY: A MUSICAL EXTRAVAGANZA AT THE GLASS WORKS

The Glass Works are thrilled to bring back the Barnsley Garden Party on Saturday, 14th September, from 11 am to 4 pm. This vibrant festival will transform Barnsley town centre into a hub of creativity, with spectacular music, dance, circus acts, and family-friendly performances that promise to enchant visitors of all ages. Set in the lively Glass Works Square and the beautifully restored Barnsley Civic, this event is the perfect way to experience the very best of outdoor arts.

Here are just a few of the talented artists set to grace the stage:

WILD by Motionhouse: WILD combines dance, acrobatics and circus in a gravity-defying exploration of our relationship with the natural environment. Taking place in a forest of tall poles the performers look down onto the forest floor… where a dangerous world of unknown meetings lies beneath.

Look Mum, No Hands by Daryl & Co: Look Mum, No Hands! is a tender tale of friendship and growing up. It explores a coming-of-age story about two friends testing their own boundaries. We see the two friends play, gently pushing the boundaries of what is possible, until together they find the perfect balance of each of their limits.

BEES! The Colony by Artzani: Wander amongst the honey-perfumed Bee Colony, finding a variety of ways of viewing and interacting with the contents of 6 impossible Bee Hives. In each there is a surprising conceptual twist, which challenges, charms and confounds expectations.
