November 29, 2022
FROM CHRISTMAS PRESENTS TO CHRISTMAS PARTIES, CHRISTMAS FOOD TO CHRISTMAS TREATS, IT’S ALL RIGHT HERE AT THE GLASS WORKS, AND NOW IS THE TIME TO EXPERIENCE IT.
There are so many Christmas traditions that we all follow every year: the present buying, the decorating, the partying, spending time with the family, and many more. At such a busy time of the year, it can be hard (and expensive) to fit everything in. But this year, it couldn’t be easier.
The Glass Works Barnsley has everything you need to make this Christmas the best one yet, and it is all under one roof!
SHOP
Whether you love shopping or hate it, at this time of year we all do more than usual. Whether it is buying presents for your loved ones, new decorations for your home, a new outfit for the work Christmas party, turkey and all the trimmings for Christmas dinner, or even just a treat for yourself, this year, let The Glass Works 13 shops take the stress away. Plus we have late-night shopping throughout December. Scroll down to find out more.
Looking to get your fashion fix with the latest styles for the Christmas party? River Island, FLANNELS, Next, USC, New Look, TK Maxx and Deichmann have got you covered. If you are looking for something a bit more casual, Sports Direct and JD Sports have a great range of sports and street fashion, perfect for the colder weather.
If you are often stuck for present ideas, look no further than some of The Glass Works’ newest independents, who specialise in gifts for all ages! Hidden Pretty Gifts have a gorgeous range of handpicked gifts which are often exclusive, stylish, and affordable, while Marshmallow Blends have a fantastic range of handmade artisan bath and beauty products and will be opening later in December. Don’t forget about GAME if you want to treat the gamer in your life, or The Fragrance Shop who have up to 50% off, plus an additional 20% off for MyTFS members.
And don’t forget, there is also the historic Barnsley Market. With two floors full of incredible stalls, there are hundreds of great presents. From sweets and chocolates to garden decorations, rugs and clothes to books and more!
Still struggling to think of the perfect gift? Take the stress off and let them choose by purchasing a gift card! Every tenant at The Glass Works has gift cards available, plus there is the incredible Barnsley Gift Card, which is accepted by over 200 shops, bars, restaurants and more in the town centre and the wider borough.
If all that shopping is taking its toll on your feet, then a visit to The Glass Works foot specialists, The Foot Health Practice, is in order. They have been delivering first-class medical foot care for over 14 years and give their customers the ability to go about their daily lives in comfort.
DINE
There is nothing like getting out of the cold and wet with a coffee or hot drink while on a Christmas shopping spree and The Glass Works has you covered. With Starbucks, Caffe Botanico, 200 Degrees Coffee and Coffee Boy, you are spoilt for choice for a mid-shop pick-me-up.
If you are looking for something slightly stronger, there is no shortage of bars. We’d recommend starting at Falco Lounge to take advantage of their great happy hour cocktail offers, then head to Black + White Wine Bar for a fantastic selection of wine and craft beers. Next up is Cucina Sky Lounge in Market Kitchen for live DJs, cocktails and their famous shots, before heading to The Salt House for more cocktails, more live DJs and their signature tequila range.
For food options, there are favourites like Nando’s and Fridays, along with smaller and independents that really bring a unique flavour to Barnsley. For the burger fans out there, Urban Burgers offers fresher-than-fresh burgers, fries and shakes all week long. And if that wasn’t enough, don’t miss the Market Kitchen food hall with their range of options from around the world.
PLAY
Spending quality time with your family and friends is another great part of the festive period, and there is no better place than Superbowl UK. Get the competitive juices flowing with their 12-lane bowling alley, go wild and burn off some energy at the Crazy Club soft play, be entertained for hours at the SEGA amusement arcade, or relax with a drink and some food at the bar and diner. There is entertainment for the whole family.
