BARNSLEY LIVE IS BACK!

Barnsley Live is back! After a year away in 2020, Barnsley’s biggest free live music event is back with over 200 bands and live acts performing at over 28 venues, bars and pubs across the town centre.
This year Barnsley Live is coming to The Glass Works! As part of the day-long festival on Saturday 23rd October, the are two exciting stages in Market Kitchen and in The Glass Works Square.
The day of live music kick-offs at 12pm in The Glass Works Square with Viva La Vintage! The unmissable, family friendly act will be singing vintage hits from the 1920’s all the way though to the 1980’s, they are the perfect way to start your day of live music.
Second up is Danny Smart at 12:45pm! He is back at Barnsley Live after 4 years away, and ready to entertain local audiences again after over 150 days performing around the world on a cruise tour! He will be familiar to many local music fans, and his country-influenced style is always a hit with crowds of all ages.
The final act in The Glass Works Square at 1:30pm is the fantastic LA Fox! They will really bring the energy to the square with their lively set of crowd favourite covers. The perfect way to round-off the early morning entertainment and get you in the mood for the rest of the day!

If you are heading to The Glass Works to take in some live music at one of our stages, don’t forget about all the other offerings!
If you’re an early riser, you can grab breakfast and hot drink from Coffee Boy from 7am, or head to the Falco Lounge who serve breakfast and brunch from 9am, right through to food and cocktails up until midnight.
As well as the great live music, the fantastic Market Kitchen is open as usual serving food from all over the world, as well as the great range of drinks available at Cucina Sky Lounge which is open until 11pm!
You could even break up the day of live music with a visit to the newly opened Superbowl UK, the UK’s ultimate family entertainment centre!
